Iced Spanish Latte

How to make an iced Spanish latte at home. Making an iced Spanish latte is very similar to the hot version. The only real difference is that there is ice to make it cold.

Equipment

  • Espresso Machine/Strong Coffee Brewer Ideally, you should use an espresso machine. However, a Moka pot or Aeropress will work.
  • Milk Frother/Whisk
  • Small-Sized Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 2 Shots Espresso
  • 3 Ounces Milk
  • 1.5 Teaspoons Sweetened Condensed Milk Or 1 Teaspoon of white sugar.

Instructions

  • Use your espresso machine/coffee brewer to create either 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 a cup of coffee.
  • Fill a glass with ice and immediately pour your espresso shots into the glass. You should pour the espresso in as soon as possible so that the glass doesn’t have time to get cold. If your glass is too cold, it could shatter while you’re pouring the espresso. This is due to the sudden temperature change.
  • Use your saucepan to heat your milk. Medium heat should be used, and the milk should not be boiled. Stir regularly to prevent your milk from burning.
  • Once the milk is hot, froth it with a whisk or milk frother.
  • Mix the sweetened condensed milk or white sugar into the espresso.
  • Pour your frothy milk on top.
  • Add your favorite toppings like cinnamon, cinnamon sugar, cocoa powder, etc. Enjoy!
